Planning the next adventure

We are thinking we will go to Nimrod mid January for a weekend. Cleo, Aoife and the humans - should be a good time. It is a beautiful lake in the central area of Arkansas, not too busy. No towns close so better have all the stuff we need. We drive to Jesseville (about 40 miles) for some of the best ice cream in the state. Can't wait!

Merry Christmas

2 coconut, 2 chocolate and a pumpkin pie - Yummy. Next is New Year's day and then back to the normal routine. I will be making Hoppin John so I get my dose of black eyed peas. It is a really great dish.
So good to spend the holiday season with family, it is what makes it special.

Christmas

Well 4 days until Christmas, still no tree up. Think I will miss this year, need a small table top that is easy to put up. No time to enjoy the season with work. Hopefully by June we will have all the Sisters of Mercy hospitals installed. Maybe things will slow down somewhat.

Weekends

Why are weekends filled with laundry, grocery shopping and cleaning? I need a self cleaning house!

Back to work

My two weeks of vacation are over and it is time to return to work. Why does vacation go so fast and the work week so slow? Daughter has returned to the in-laws for the last week of her holiday and will fly home on Thursday.
The 5th wheel made a wonderful apartment for them while they were here. We will need to do the winterizing before the freezing weather is here. The weather has been really nice with highs in the 60-70's and lows in the 40-50 but the 30's are upon us.

Happy Thanksgiving

Making way too many pies - Apple, Pumpkin, 2 Chocolate and 2 Coconut! We will have 11 people, so we will need to share. I love Thanksgiving - all the fun family time without all the hoopla that comes with Christmas.

Baby G's first birthday

Had the grandbaby's first birthday party at the house, so glad they could share this with us. The holiday is almost over and they will return home. It has been a wonderful visit and lots of good family time.

Busy week

A very busy week, our daughter, son-in-law and grandbaby are on holiday from Scotland. Had a wonderful week shopping and visiting. Work was very hectic, we are in the middle of a software upgrade, so I was unable to spend as much time as I wanted. I will be off two weeks with them when they return from her inlaws, so we can make up for lost time.

Learning to Blog

Well I finally did it - I have been enjoying reading blogs from my sisters site about rv'ing. I have created my own blog to follow the adventures of others. I am several years from retirement so I can only dream about long trips across the USA and Canada. We do go out in the 5th wheel but are limited to weekends or the occassional week.
